It was only natural that I decided to attend the University of California-Berkeley when the time came to select a college. After all, this was the school that was home to so many extraordinary alumni, from Alan Cranston to Joan Baez. I had heard enough tales of life at Berkeley to be positively inspired.
This university offers a truly unique experience in higher education that cannot be matched anywhere else in the United States. The faculty is world-renowned and the student body is comprised of some of the brightest minds in the world.
The academics offered at Berkeley are second-to-none. There are hundreds of different majors available, ranging from the hard sciences to the humanities. With such an expansive selection of courses and programs, one can certainly find something that matches their interests perfectly.
In addition to finding suitable classes, Berkeley also provides numerous extracurricular activities. From clubs and student organizations to volunteer opportunities and intramural sports, there is certainly no shortage of ways to keep busy in one’s spare time.

The University of California-Berkeley is a vibrant and bustling place full of opportunity and promise. I have been incredibly lucky to attend this school and be part of its amazing community.
