The wind was blowing strong as I drove up to the Wisconsin Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School located in Lincoln, NE. My heart was full of excitement. I had heard so much about this school and the amazing education they offered. The sun was beaming through the windows, a sign perhaps of the great things to come.
I walked in the door and immediately was welcomed with open arms. I was given a tour of the facility, which included a wide variety of classrooms, salons, spas and even a barber shop. It was clear that this was no ordinary school. Every detail had been taken into consideration. From the beauty products to the modern equipment, everything had been carefully thought out to create an exceptional learning environment.
The instructors were phenomenal. They were patient and understanding while providing top-notch instruction. They had a wealth of knowledge that they shared with us and bestowed us with the confidence to succeed in our chosen profession. It was rejuvenating to be surrounded by passionate educators who truly cared about our success.

The extra-curricular activities offered provided fun learning opportunities in areas such as music, art, business and more. There was even a student-run salon where professional stylists would provide services such as haircuts, styling and colors at no charge!
I left the academy with a renewed enthusiasm for learning and feeling blessed for having been given the chance to attend such an amazing school. I'm proud to say that I'm now one of Wisconsin Academy's alumni and that I'm confident in my skill set as a professional hairdresser thanks in part to their unparalleled education program.
