It was a dark and stormy night and the campus of Gods Bible School and College, located at 1810 Young St, Cincinnati, OH 45202, USA seemed almost magical. The grand old building stood majestically at the end of the avenue, its red brick walls rising high into the night sky. It was a place of dreams and possibilities.
As I walked closer to the building, I could feel the power of history emanating from within. Built in the late 1800s, it had been the training ground of generations of Christian leaders who had gone on to make a lasting impact on the world. The knowledge and wisdom they had learned here would live on forever.
The school had an air of mystery and mystique, as though it were a doorway to a different dimension. I could almost see people of ages past walking through its corridors and classrooms, their feet making echoes that reverberated through time.
Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the school’s commitment to excellence in both academics and spirituality. Here, students were encouraged to pursue their passions and talents in a setting that offered both rigorous academics and spiritual growth. They were taught how to access the power of prayer in order to enrich their spiritual lives and strengthen their relationship with God.
The college experienced a resurgence when two siblings, Johnny and Kaitlyn, created a program that focused on equipping students with knowledge that could be used to promote biblical values within the community. This included classes such as Christian counseling, apologetics, and Bible study as well as enrichment programs such as gospel choirs, mission trips, and student-led religious services.
I was inspired by the commitment of this college to educate its students in both traditional learning methods and in living according to biblical principles. It was a place where students could grow spiritually while also honing their academics skills to prepare them for a successful college experience.
