Jefferson Township Historical Society in Burgettstown, PA, was formed in 1990 with a purpose of preserving the history of the area for future generations. Its first project was to purchase Heritage Hall, a building built in 1876. This building houses the Jefferson Township Museum, It has also undertaken an enthusiastic Preservation Project to preserve its historic White Church Building, built in 1844. It was February 2004 the Board members of the Jefferson Township Historical Society had a vision for a Veterans Memorial in Eldersville. This Monument was dedicated on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2008.
