The students of Memphis Theological Seminary will have an opportunity to pursue a wide range of disciplines. We offer traditional Bible-based courses such as Old Testament Studies as well as unique, contemporary courses such as Intersecting Voices: Engaging Feminism, Theology, and Global Religious Contexts. We also provide cutting-edge academic and research opportunities for outstanding scholars in a variety of disciplines, including systematic theology, pastoral care and counseling, and homiletic studies. Our robust curriculum prepares our graduates to impact their societies from all angles: the religious, the political, and the social.
Our professors are distinguished scholars in their respective fields who bring a wealth of knowledge from a host of disciplines: from religious history to cultural anthropology to sociology and more. Our faculty guide our students on their path to set out and make a professional mark as well-informed members of the clergy, activists for justice and peace, or professors in theological study.
