It was a wintery afternoon in Sterling, Kansas when I laid eyes on this grand structure, the Sterling College. It was at 125 West Cooper Ave - a lofty domain towering over the town with a presence so grand and powerful that it left me in awe.
The college was founded in 1896 as a private four-year school and has since grown to be a premier liberal arts college, offering bachelor's degrees in 40 majors from the humanities to the sciences. The campus has been refurbished and upgraded over the years, with resplendent Victorian-style buildings and state-of-the-art facilities such as an advanced library, research laboratories and athletic fields.
As I walked around the campus, I could feel the overwhelming sense of history and culture that resonates in its hallways. The students were lively and curious, captivated by the world unfolding in front of them. I met some who had come from all around the country to take part in this unique experience - each with their own stories, dreams and aspirations.

It was inspiring to see such dedication displayed by the staff and faculty of the college.
