Come experience the proud history of 17th Virginia Volunteer Infantry Company AK Living History! Located at 49 Roosevelt Avenue in the United States, this museum brings to life the struggles and experiences of those who served in the Civil War.
On display are a variety of artifacts including original uniforms, weapons & photographs. For those interested in deeper exploration of these items, many are accompanied by an interpretive presentation. These interactive exhibits provide insight on the conditions and events which influenced the lives of those who fought for the Confederate cause.
For a more immersive experience into the past, there is a breathtakingly accurate recreation of a Confederate camp. Tour this camp to partake in activities such as drilling with weapons, cooking and baking over an open fire as well as sampling food from the time period. In addition, guests have an opportunity to visit a recreated hospital to gain an understanding of Civil War medicine.
