The Board of Trustees for Mississippi State Institutions of Higher Learning is a vital force in the education of students in Mississippi. The Board of Trustees provides governance to all eight public universities located in the state, which includes Alcorn State University, Delta State University, Jackson State University, Mississippi State University, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi Valley State University, the University of Mississippi and the University of Southern Mississippi.
