ForældreIntra is a closed system for parents to students in our school

About Chicago Theological Seminary

Chicago Theological Seminary (CTS) is a seminary committed to a prophetic vision of justice and a commitment to global ministry and scholarship. Located in the city of Chicago, CTS has been on the forefront of theological education for over 170 years. Founded in 1855, CTS was one of the oldest seminaries in the United States and has a distinguished history of educating religious and community leaders.

CTS offers numerous courses of study, from Pastoral Leadership to Interreligious Studies. The faculty includes talented scholars and experienced practitioners from around the world, dedicated to helping students grow as both disciplined thinkers and faithful followers of Jesus Christ. CTS also offers programs tailored for graduate students such as the Doctor of Ministry, dual degrees, and certificates. These opportunities equip graduates with critical skills and knowledge to be effective leaders across all sectors of society.

In its mission statement, CTS identifies justice and mercy as core values that mitigate its educational activities. This commitment to justice and mercy is carried out through various initiatives, including mission trips, volunteer service projects, and public annual events such as the Forum on Public Issues. It is with this spirit that CTS encourages its students to be bold believers, agents of change, courageous allies, and agents of healing for all people.

CTS has established strategic partnerships with numerous organizations within Chicago such as La Casa Norte and Catalyst Circle Rock. Through these partnerships, students gain access to valuable resources as well as serve those in need in their neighborhood. CTS also connects students with churches, non-profit organizations, social responsibility networks, and ecumenical initiatives worldwide.

The beauty and challenge at CTS lies in its diverse student body who come from around the world representing different social strata. With people from different backgrounds interacting daily on campus, there is no shortage of conversations around subjects such as race, gender, class, ethnicity, identity, sexuality, and power -- all topics important to any leader of faith in today's world.

Chicago Theological Seminary’s commitment to justice-making has impacted generations of clergy-scholars who continue to push life-saving agendas into existence while transforming lives in Chicago and beyond. Take action now by visiting CTS to learn how you can join us in our commitment to honor the entirety of God's people through educating religious leaders for the changing world.
