LærerIntra is a web-based program for handling daily routines for teaching

About Oregon College of Oriental Medicine

A college of Oriental medicine is a place of learning and growth. It is a place of exploration and discovery. It is also a place of healing and balance. At Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), located at 75 NW Couch St, Portland, OR 97209, USA, we strive to create a community where students can explore the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine, experiment with the modern practices of herbalism, and gain insight into their own health and well-being.

We believe in empowering our students to make informed decisions about their health and to become active participants in their own healing process. We believe that each individual has the potential to achieve a state of true balance and vitality by learning how to apply the principles of traditional Chinese medicine to their lives.

At OCOM, students learn the fundamentals of Chinese medicine through traditional methods such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion and tui na. The comprehensive curriculum includes courses in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, herbal medicine, Eastern medical theory, qigong, Chinese medical language and more. Students also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical settings through internships and externships.

We strive to create an educational environment that is both stimulating and nurturing. Our faculty are experienced practitioners who share their knowledge through classes, lectures and clinical supervision. We offer a variety of support services for our students including career counseling, academic advising and personal counseling. Our student body is diverse, consisting of people from all walks of life who are united by their passion for learning and exploring Chinese medicine.

At OCOM we also provide a variety of community outreach programs with the goal of increasing awareness about the benefits of Chinese medicine and its potential for improving health outcomes. We collaborate with local organizations and clinics to provide free treatments to underserved communities as well as educational programs on how to use Chinese medicine for self-care and preventive measures.

At Oregon College of Oriental Medicine we believe that the study and practice of Chinese medicine is an essential part of creating a healthier world for all. We are committed to providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to make a difference in the lives of others.
