516 ARTS is an Albuquerque museum located on Central Ave SW that stands as a beacon of culture for the entire US. Founded in 2005, 516 ARTS is a nonprofit institution whose mission is “to animate Albuquerque through visual arts and related cultural events that explore significant issues relevant to our region.”

In 2013, the museum hosted Charles Mee’s “The River Project” which examined our collective relationship with nature; in 2017, Allison Janae Hamilton’s “New World Water Series” was featured which explored the vulnerability of African Americans in the US South; in 2018, Ross Racine’s “FAR NOMADS // WeirdoWerks” demonstrated Albuquerque’s unique multi-cultural mix.
