Welcome to the Anna Eaton Stout Art Gallery, located at 717 Frederica Street in the United States. Here at the Stout Art Gallery, we showcase collections from around the world, from paintings to sculptures and photographs.
Our art gallery was established by Anna Eaton Stout, who was an actress and philanthropist that loved to support art. She was born in Richmond, Indiana in 1857 and while in the Performing Arts of St. Louis in the early 1890s, she began to collect art. Her collection included works of artists such as Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet and Thomas Eakins.
This beautiful building is much more than a museum; it’s a representation of Anna’s infinite admiration of art. It features two floors of painting galleries as well as a sculpture garden, rooms dedicated to photography and film, and even a cafe! The cafe is definitely worth visiting for lunch or for a cup of coffee. The vibrant atmosphere of the cafe will make you feel like you’re in an art gallery even if you don’t visit all the galleries that the Stout Art Gallery have to offer.
We also host cool events all throughout the year that people can attend for free! From visual arts workshops to lectures from celebrated art historians and engaging conversations with inspiring artists. In addition, we have educational programs that are suitable for all age groups, from kids and adult artists alike.
Visiting the Anna Eaton Stout Art Gallery is an experience like no other. The galleries are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10am – 6pm, with extended hours on Fridays until 8pm. Come visit us and immerse yourself in the beauty of artwork from different cultures, mediums and time periods!
