It was an unusual sight, two schools located in two distinctly different yet connected places. Hørby-Dybvad Skole was unlike any other school, for within its walls lay secrets, secrets that had been hidden for many centuries. It was no ordinary educational establishment; it was something more.
The grounds on which the school stood were ancient and forgotten, stretching out across Ørnevej 6 in Dybvad and Hybenhøj 11 in Hørby. Elsewhere these places may have been softened by the passage of time, but here the land was still as wild and gritty as ever, still holding onto its mystery much like the school did.
For our would-be students of Hørby-Dybvad Skole, it was here that they made their first acquaintance with magic. Yes, magic! Here a special sort of educational experience could be had, where students could delve into the wonderful world of wonderment made possible by their enterprising teachers. Not only did students learn the traditional academic subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Literacy, but they also took lessons in Charms and Potions, Defensive Magic and Astronomy - all suitably accredited to enable them to progress beyond the reaches of their magic garden and into higher learning.
In Hørby-Dybvad Skole there were two distinct campuses; each with its own unique atmosphere. At Ørnevej 6 one could find modern facilities with labs equipped to meet the demands of a new wave of teaching. The layout was impressive; with classrooms uniquely laid out to encourage maximum student flow and effectiveness and a huge library filled with often undiscovered facts that foreshadowed the careers our students were expected to pursue later in life.
At Hybenhøj 11 the setting couldn't have been more different; with its stately buildings, facade and high towers that created an air of old-world charm. The cobblestone walkways shone underfoot and filtered light from grand windows gleamed from all directions; these were classrooms of a different kind. Students here could find no shortage of material for their studies as ancient texts lined walls amongst an array of magical artifacts; old and new.
The beauty of Hørby-Dybvad Skole lay in both campuses coming together as one; for along with connecting each school’s individual strengths in the form of enrichment activities such as debate societies, charities and student leaders who help in making dreams a reality - they also lend their energy towards forming some of modern day's greatest magical mindsets so that they can flourish outside their school walls too!
