It was a bright and sunny day in Houston, Texas. I had heard so much about the amazing Houston Community College, I couldn't wait to get my feet on campus and get started.
As I pulled up to 3100 Main St, I was immediately taken by the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of the college. I felt a level of energy and excitement that I had never felt before. Everywhere I looked, students were studying and engaging in vibrant discussions about the topics of the day.
I decided to take a tour of the campus, so I started with the library. I was impressed by the amount of resources available for students to use here. They had books, magazines, computers and even podcasts available for students to use for research projects and assignments.
Next, I ventured over to the student center. Here, there was a wide array of student organizations available to join. These organizations offered everything from sports teams to student government to leadership development to theatre groups. It was inspiring to see so many students engaged in activities outside of the classroom.
I then made my way over to one of the classrooms and joined a class in progress. The professor was engaging and passionate about his subject matter, which made me feel even more excited about being here. The students were actively participating in the discussion and offering insightful perspectives on the topics at hand.
Finally, I visited the athletic facilities. Here, students could engage in a variety of activities such as basketball, tennis, soccer and water sports. The facilities were top-notch and it was easy to see why so many students enjoyed participating in sports here.
