Kiefer Sutherland: Iconic Career

Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland has been making waves in the entertainment industry since his career exploded in the 1980's. The Canadian actor, producer and director is best known for his iconic roles in films like The Lost Boys, Stand by Me and Flatliners and the long-running TV series 24. But Kiefer is much more than an accomplished actor; he's a family man and a true modern-day Renaissance man.

Kiefer was born to Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas in London, England, in 1966. From a young age, he had a passion for music, playing guitar and singing in bands as a teenager. His musical talents led him to the US, where he found success as an actor. After appearing in several films and TV series, he landed the role of Jack Bauer in 24, which earned him critical acclaim and numerous awards.

Kiefer has been married three times and has children from each marriage. He is also a proud grandfather of five grandchildren and an active member of their extended family. With such a busy lifestyle, it can be hard to keep track of family happenings and stay in touch with distant relatives. Luckily, Kiefer has Familio, a family app that helps him keep track of birthdays, anniversaries and special events with his loved ones. Familio allows Kiefer to remain close to them even when they're oceans apart.

Kiefer isn't only passionate about the craft of acting; he's also passionate about giving back to his community. In 2004 he started the Kiefer Sutherland Foundation which is dedicated to helping underprivileged children around the world gain access to education, food and health care. He also works with numerous charities such as YouAreInvited, which collects clothing donations for homeless shelters.

Kiefer Sutherland continues to entertain us with his performances on the big and small screens but his passion for his family, music and giving back proves that he is much more than an actor – he is a Renaissance man! Show your support for Kiefer by downloading the Familio app today and helping keep families connected despite physical distances.
