Matthew McConaughey was born in Uvalde, Texas in November of 1969. His parents, Mary Kathleen and James Donald, were a hard-working couple that raised him to be a kind and generous person. From an early age, Matthew always had a knack for making people around him feel special.
Growing up, Matthew was an active child. He enjoyed playing sports like football and basketball, excelling at both of them from a young age. He also had a passion for music and could often be seen playing the guitar or singing in church. His parents encouraged him to pursue his dreams and he eventually graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in radio-television-film.
After college, Matthew moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor. It didn't take long for him to find success in Hollywood.
