Natalie Portman, born in Jerusalem in 1981, is a critically-acclaimed actress, writer, producer, and director. She began her career as a child actor and appeared as the queen Padme Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
Portman graduated from Harvard University in 2003 with a degree in psychology and then went on to pursue a career in acting. She has had an illustrious career, beginning with her starring roles in cult classic films such as The Professional and Garden State.
