The Aurora Fossil Museum, founded in 1976, is a non-profit 501-c(3) fossil education resource center. Our mission is to increase knowledge of the geology and paleontology of the Coastal Plain of North Carolina. We accomplish this task through exhibits, outreach programs, field studies, and our annual Memorial Day weekend Fossil Festival.
