Fort Vasquez is open again - with a fresh new look and programs. Visit the site of an 1835 fur-trading fort and follow the paths of founders Louis Vasquez and Andrew Sublette, who hired mountain men like Jim Beckwourth and Baptiste Charbonneau at their adobe outpost on the South Platte River frequented by the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Lakota people.
