The youngest of two sons born in Hayward, California, Johnson was raised by his loving parents in a strong, supportive household. He was an avid athlete in high school and college, playing football and basketball; he even won a national championship in college. In 1996, Johnson made his WWE debut under the stage name "The Rock". His popularity within the sport quickly grew and soon he became one of the most recognizable wrestlers in history. He has since held multiple WWE titles and remained a fan favorite for years.
