Twas a fair and bonnie day in Scarborough, Ontario, when Mike Myers was born in the year of 1963. He was the son of Eric Myers and Alice E. and there soon came to be a passion of comedy and laughter that would shape this very bard’s life.
From a tender age, he discovered his wit and keen sense of humor, which often left family and friends in rapture. By the age of eight, he had already created an alter-ego of sorts, performing under the guise of ‘Mike the Cool Guy’ at local talent shows.
At the age of 15, he left his hometown to attend a private school in Toronto, where he would come to excel in many dramatic arts productions. It was not long before Mike was asked to join the theatrical company Second City and further hone his comedic prowess.
Throughout the years, Mike would go on to make many lasting impressions with his performances in film and television. Notable titles such as Austin Powers, Shrek, Wayne’s World and Saturday Night Live are amongst his most beloved works and were instrumental in making him a household name worldwide.
In addition to being an actor, writer and producer, Mike has also used his celebrity status to engage in philanthropic efforts. He has supported various charities, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and is a member of PETA.
